Dance For World Community This Saturday, 6/8!

Jose Mateo Ballet Theater's annual Dance for World Community Fest is a beautiful event.  I've enjoyed going to as a spectator for several years now, and this year I have a quartet of dancers performing a new quartet, "Find me in the Dance Floor."  To music by electronic music artist Mark Fell (http://www.markfell.com), the piece goes deeply into the roots of why we enjoy losing ourselves to dance.  We perform at 5:20, but be sure to check out as much of the festival as you can.

JUNE 14th  DANCE FOR WORLD COMMUNITY FESTIVAL Sarah Slifer Swift solo http://www.danceforworldcommunity.org/ In the year or so I have been doing research on surveillance, two different performance pieces came of it. One, Insensor , will premiere at Windhover in July (see next entry), but another piece emerged alongside it. This is what I will perform at DFWC.  It's interactive and chaotic and I'm looking forward to performing it at this diverse festival. Time of performance will be posted soon.
