Windhover Summer Dance Concert July 18 - 20

Sarah Slifer Swift & Dancers will be presenting two works, Insenser (2014, premiere) and Invisible Stories (2013) at the Windhover Summer Dance Concert July 18-20, 8pm.  They share the evening with Nahant choreographer Sallee Slagle and her Forty Steps Dance Company.

Insenser, named after an NSA surveillance system, is a look at the human response to watching, being watched, and becoming data. Power, trust, control and vulnerability take the stage in a work that is at once alluring and disturbing. Invisible Stories, a collaboration between Swift and Vermont-based writer and choreographer Kate Tarlow Morgan, is a performance piece based on the idea that the book, open or closed, occupies the inner and outer landscapes in which we live. The book is a place, a body of matter and manifestation, and it is also endangered. As part of the Invisible Stories performance, an installation for one of the Windhover buildings will be on display at the start of each evening.
